29/01/2007

The Nathanson retractor is ideal for the retraction of the liver during laparoscopic surgery. It is essential for "easy" laparoscopic fundoplication, Heller's operation and occassionaly in bariatric surgery.

It is inserted through a very small incision and requires NO trocar. The design is such that it evenly distributes the weight of the liver. The Nathanson hook is available in 4 sizes and 2 thicknesses to accommodate virtually any liver size and weight. The combination of the Nathanson with either the FlexArm or the StrongArm provides a perfectly stable retraction platform that is used by more and more laparoscopic surgeons around the world.  Approx cost 3,000 euros.
